Ticket Payments in Cambodia: KHQR, Cards, ABA PayWay and iPay88
Evenda offers ABA PayWay and iPay88 Cambodia for processing payments for event tickets. Organizers can connect KHQR, Visa, and Mastercard through their own provider account.
We have added integrations with ABA Bank / PayWay and iPay88 Cambodia to Evenda. Now event organizers in Cambodia can connect their own payment account and accept ticket payments via KHQR and Visa and Mastercard bank cards. This is suitable for concerts, festivals, conferences, and workshops in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and other cities in the country.
How does ticket payment via KHQR work?
The buyer selects tickets on the event page, places an order, and proceeds to the provider's payment page. To pay via KHQR, they scan the QR code with a compatible banking app and confirm the payment. After the payment is confirmed by the provider, the order status is updated in Evenda.
KHQR is a common standard for QR payments in Cambodia and not a separate bank. For example, ABA PayWay allows payment through ABA Mobile and other apps that support KHQR. The organizer connects a payment provider, and the available apps for the buyer depend on the support of KHQR and the conditions of the specific payment channel. The payment QR code and the ticket QR code for event entry serve different purposes.
ABA PayWay and iPay88 Cambodia: what payment methods are available?
ABA PayWay is the payment service of ABA Bank. In Evenda, it is possible to connect KHQR and Visa and Mastercard cards if the bank has activated these methods for the organizer's account. The buyer completes the payment on the ABA PayWay page.
iPay88 Cambodia brings together KHQR, card payments and additional local payment channels. Depending on your agreement and activation by the provider, options such as Wing, eMoney, Pi Pay and ACLEDA XPAY, as well as Chip Mong Pay, may be available. These methods are not enabled automatically: confirm the channels you need with iPay88.
Should you sell tickets in USD or KHR?
Both integrations support orders in US dollars (USD) and Cambodian riel (KHR). KHR amounts must be whole numbers. With iPay88 Cambodia, card payments are available in USD, while KHQR supports both USD and KHR. To offer both KHQR and card payments through iPay88, set your ticket sales currency to USD. Confirm settlement currencies and conversion terms with your chosen provider.
How to set up event payments in Cambodia
- Set up your own account for receiving payments with ABA PayWay or iPay88 Cambodia and coordinate the connection of KHQR and cards.
- In your Evenda personal account, add the provider to your payment profile and fill in the details they provide for connection.

- Make a test purchase and check the order status and ticket delivery before switching to the provider’s live credentials.
Payment processing fees and refunds
Payment processing fees, settlement times and settlement currencies depend on your agreement with ABA PayWay or iPay88 Cambodia. There is no single bank fee that applies to every account. Evenda usage is subject to your platform plan. Refunds for these integrations are currently handled through the provider rather than automatically in Evenda.
Ticket sales for local and international audiences
KHQR allows you to offer buyers payment through their familiar compatible banking app, while Visa and Mastercard — payment by card, if supported by the provider and issuing bank. To start sales, prepare the event page, pricing, and refund conditions, connect payment, and share the event link. You can start setup in your Evenda personal account.
