With MTN MoMo your buyers pay from the MTN Mobile Money wallet: Evenda requests the payment, a prompt appears on the buyer’s phone, and they approve it with their MoMo PIN. The method appears on the tickets page automatically once MTN MoMo is connected.

MTN Mobile Money is available across MTN markets, including Ghana, Uganda and Zambia, as well as Cameroon, Rwanda, Ivory Coast, Benin and Guinea. Because the buyer confirms on their own phone, there are no card details to enter, which suits the many people who pay by mobile money.
Pricing and payouts
You connect your own MTN MoMo account, so payments settle directly to you in your local currency. MTN sets its MoMo fees by your agreement, and Evenda adds no platform fee of its own on ticket sales.
How to connect MTN MoMo and sell tickets
- Sign up on the MTN MoMo Developer portal and get your API User, API Key and Subscription Key.
- In Evenda, open Payment systems and choose MTN MoMo.
- Paste your API User, API Key and Subscription Key.
- Save the connection.
- Publish the event — MTN MoMo payments start working on the tickets page.

Technical notes
MTN MoMo uses the Collection API: Evenda authenticates over OAuth and calls requesttopay with a unique reference id, which sends the payment prompt to the buyer’s phone. The result comes to the callback URL (status SUCCESSFUL), while a waiting page polls the order status meanwhile — so the status stays correct even without the buyer returning to the browser.
