Payment methods PayFast brings to checkout
With PayFast your buyers in South Africa can pay with Visa and Mastercard, by instant EFT, or with Apple Pay. The available methods appear on the tickets page automatically.
Built for the South African market
PayFast works in South Africa and processes payments in rand (ZAR). As a full gateway it pairs cards and Apple Pay with instant EFT, so both card-paying and bank-transfer buyers can check out in one place.
Pricing and payouts
You connect your own PayFast account, so card, EFT and wallet payments settle directly to you in rand. PayFast sets its processing fees by your agreement, and Evenda adds no platform fee of its own on ticket sales.

Technical notes
PayFast uses a signed POST form to its process endpoint: Evenda signs the non-empty fields (in canonical order, url-encoded, plus your passphrase) with md5 and redirects the buyer. The result arrives as an ITN to the notify URL, which Evenda verifies by signature and a server-side validate call (returning VALID) with payment_status COMPLETE before the order is marked paid — so the status stays correct even if the buyer closes the tab.
Connect PayFast to Evenda to sell tickets across South Africa with cards, EFT and Apple Pay, and settle to your own account.
