Yoco is a South African payments provider that processes card payments in South Africa in rand (ZAR). Its online checkout adds Apple Pay for one-tap payments, so buyers can pay for a ticket quickly with the card or wallet they already use.
Pricing and payouts
You connect your own Yoco account, so card and Apple Pay payments settle directly to you in rand. Yoco sets its processing fees by your agreement, and Evenda adds no platform fee of its own on ticket sales.
How to connect Yoco and sell tickets
- Sign up for a Yoco account and get your secret key and webhook secret.
- In Evenda, open Payment systems and choose Yoco.
- Paste your secret key and webhook secret.
- Save the connection.
- Publish the event — Yoco payments start working on the tickets page.

Technical notes
Yoco uses a hosted redirect: Evenda creates a checkout with your secret key and redirects the buyer to the Yoco page. The result arrives as a webhook signed to the Standard Webhooks spec, which Evenda verifies with HMAC-SHA256 using your webhook secret before the order is marked paid — so the status stays correct even if the buyer closes the tab.
