How do I curve rows and rotate seat blocks toward the stage?
Use Curve and Rotation to build three blocks with 72 seats, two aisles and unique seat labels.
Follow the video tutorial and the step-by-step instructions below.
Prepare the center block
Start with four rows A–D, each with six seats numbered 7–12. Assign Standard to every seat and position the stage above the rows. The center block contains 24 seats.
1. Curve the rows
Select the four rows without selecting the stage. Set Curve to −3 in the right panel. The rows become gentle arcs; in this example, the middle seats are slightly farther from the stage than the outer seats. Start with a small curve and adjust it to your venue.
2. Add the left block
Duplicate the selected rows and move the copy left, leaving an aisle. Set Rotation to 18°. Check spacing after rotation and move the rows together. In Seat labeling, set Start at to 1 and keep row letters A–D. The left block now has seats 1–6; the center retains 7–12.
3. Add the right block
Duplicate the center block again, move it right and leave a second aisle. Set Rotation to −18°; the editor may display the equivalent 342°. Start seat numbering at 13. Each row now has 18 seats across three blocks.
4. Check the layout
Compare the side blocks around the stage. Make sure row ends do not overlap and both aisles remain clear. The summary should show 72 seats, no duplicates and no missing labels or categories.
5. Preview and save
In Preview, zoom in and inspect the row, number and category of seats in each block. Check the ends of the curves and both aisles. Close Preview, wait for Saved and sync the changes with Evenda.
Which values should I use?
Curve = −3 and rotations of ±18° are tutorial settings, not universal values. Adjust them gradually for the width and shape of your venue, checking spacing and label uniqueness after each change.
