How to create your first hall layout in Evenda?
Step-by-step example: five rows of eight seats, a stage, and two categories. Checking numbering, saving, and synchronizing the layout.

What will be the result
This example has five rows of eight seats. The first two rows belong to Front Rows and the remaining three to Standard.
1. Create a layout
In the dashboard, open 'Seating charts', click 'Create chart', specify a clear name, and confirm the creation. The name will help locate the layout when setting up the event.
2. Draw and label the row
Select Row and draw a straight line. Highlight the row with the Select tool and in the Number of seats field enter 8. The distance between chairs is adjusted with the Seat spacing parameter. In Row labeling, set Row 1, and in Seat labeling — the sequence 1, 2, 3 starting from 1. Enable Always show labels to verify numbers.
3. Duplicate the rows and add a stage
Click Duplicate, move the copy down, and change the row number to 2. Repeat for rows 3, 4, and 5. Each copy will retain eight seats. The combination of row and seat number must be unique. Above the first row, add a decorative rectangle, select the label Stage, and designate the stage. The stage serves as a reference point and does not add spectator seats.
4. Assign categories
Through Manage, create Front Rows and Standard. Highlight the first two rows and assign Front Rows in the Category field, then assign Standard to the remaining three rows. Creating a category does not automatically distribute seats: each chair needs to have a category assigned. Ticket prices are set separately in the event.
5. Check and synchronize
The summary should show 40 seats without duplicates and without missed labels or categories. Open Preview, check the row, number, and category of several seats. Close the preview, wait for Saved, and click 'Sync' in Evenda. In the list of layouts, check for 40 seats and two categories.
Frequently Asked Questions
If duplicates appeared after copying, check the number of each row and the starting numbering of seats. If the number of seats in the list hasn't updated yet, first wait for it to save in the editor, then repeat the synchronization. 'Publish to catalog' is a separate action for other organizers to access the layout; it is not required to create your own layout.
